The CEV works closely with the College of Ocean and Fishery Sciences as a co-partner with numerous science projects within the college's five academic units: the School of Aquatic & Fishery Sciences, the School of Oceanography, the School of Marine Affairs, the Applied Physics Laboratory, and the Washington Sea Grant Program.

The CEV also provides IT support for the college and continues to develop the college Web services, adding new features such as the Employment Listings.
