The UW Program on Climate Change is an interdisciplinary program in climate science that strives to integrate education, research and outreach activities on campus. The goals are :

The core academic units in the PCC are: the School of Oceanography, Department of Atmospheric Sciences and the Department of Earth and Space Sciences. The PCC also encompasses the UW research units of the Quaternary Research Center (QRC), Applied Physics Lab (APL), Joint Institute for the Study of the Atmosphere and Ocean (JISAO) which facilitates research activities within the Pacific Northwest Climate Impacts Group (CIG), and NOAA's Pacific Marine Environmental Lab (PMEL). There are additional individuals with expertise distributed in various departments throughout the campus as listed under participating faculty.

The PCC has the resources to develop and enhance cross-disciplinary classes and research on Climate Change. The program offers graduate and postdoctoral fellowships, undergraduate research support, and support for visiting scientists and small workshops.
