The Seaglider Fabrication Center (SFC) of the University of Washington provides new Seagliders, operator training, and glider refurbishment to both internal (UW) and external customers. It is a division of the School of Oceanography (SOO) and works cooperatively with the Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) and other units to provide high-quality glider AUVs to discerning oceanographic customers. While it works closely with the research and development groups of Dr. Charlie Eriksen (SoO) and Dr. Craig Lee (APL), it is a separate entity managed by Dr. Fritz Stahr. It is housed in the Ocean Sciences Building on the UW campus.
